Rarely offered variety. Rosette of sword-shaped leaves to 85cm, branched heads of small maroon flowers October-December. Very architectural!
Less robust than the standard horsetail, has eyecatching yellow stripes across the stems. Still safer in a container!
'Russian Sage'. A tall airy plant with lavender-blue flower spikes in late summer, and aromatic grey divided foliage.
