This section of the website is dedicated to our three National Collections: Anemone nemorosa, Symphyotrichum (Aster) novae-angliae and Sanguisorba.

Plant Heritage, formerly known as the National Council for Conservation of Plants and Gardens, makes this award to plantsmen who can ‘document, develop and conserve a comprehensive collection of one group of plants in trust for the future’.

Individual visitors can view the collections at the nursery and in the garden with no entrance fee. We’re happy to arrange visits for groups of ten or more at a small charge, detailed here.
