The Library Garden

Named because visitors often use our display garden like a reference book, as all of our plants are clearly labelled. Although small, the garden is packed full of perennials, with areas planted up for both sun and shade, encompassing all the seasons from late winter through to autumn. Many of the plants available to buy in the nursery are propagated from these stock plants. Entrance to the garden is free during our normal opening hours.

Russell’s stunning Quarry Garden, on the same site, is also well worth a visit, especially in late spring, with a dazzling display of azaleas and rhododendrons.

Other nurseries on-site offer a complementary range of plants.
